Shakur Stevenson record

22-0 (10 KOs)

Shakur Stevenson has put together a perfect 22-0 record in the professional ranks after a stellar amateur career.

Stevenson qualified for the US boxing team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as an 18-year-old. Stevenson went on to win the bantamweight silver medal, losing to Robeisy Ramírez of Cuba in the gold medal bout and becoming the highest-medaling male boxer for his country in that edition of the Summer Games.

The southpaw made his professional debut in April the following year with a technical decision win over the 3-2-1 Edgar Brito, before stopping Carlos Gaston Suarez inside the first round the following month on the undercard of Terence Crawford vs. Félix Díaz at Madison Square Garden.

Stevenson put together an opening 12-0 record, with all his wins coming against fighters with winning records, before earning his first world title shot - taking on the 23-0 Joet Gonzalez for the vacant WBO featherweight title.

Stevenson won via a wide-margin unanimous decision after comprehensively outboxing Gonzalez. He vacated that belt without making a defence in order to step up to the super featherweight division.

In 2021, Stevenson became the interim WBO super featherweight champion by outpointing Jeremia Nakathila in what was an uneventful fight, with Stevenson controlling proceedings without having to be particularly aggressive to get the win. He became the full champion by stopping Jamel Herring in the 10th round in his next bout.

Stevenson became a unified champion by adding the WBC super featherweight belt to his collection in 2022 by beating the 30-0 Oscar Valdez by unanimous decision.

Stevenson was set to defend his titles against Robson Conceicao but was stripped of both belts after missing the weight. The fight went ahead anyway, with Stevenson claiming a points win, and afterwards he announced his move up to lightweight.

He became a three-weight world champion by outpointing Edwin De Los Santos and was last seen in July of 2024 with a decision win over Artem Harutyunyan.

Josh Padley record

15-0 (4 KOs)

Padley is a relatively unknown fighter and comes into the bout against Stevenson as a heavy underdog.

The Doncaster, United Kingdom native has posted an impressive 15-0 record to begin his career, but this fight on Saturday will mark the biggest of his life.

The 29-year-old, who will fight Stevenson on three days’ notice, began his career in 2019.

Padley is best known for producing a shock victory over Mark Chamberlain via unanimous decision on September 21, 2024, as part of the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois.
