The Washington Commanders (7-2) welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2), fresh off their bye week, to Northwest Stadium in Week 10.
Both teams are riding three-game win streaks and sit at the top of their respective divisions.
This matchup pits one of the league’s best offenses in Washington up against a perennially elite Steelers defense, and marks the first meeting between the two teams since 2020 and first at Washington since 2016.
Both teams also welcome new trade acquisitions for this game: the Commanders added CB Marshon Lattimore at the deadline, while DE Preston Smith and WR Mike Williams joined the Steelers.
Let’s get into all you need to know ahead of this matchup.

On Marshon Lattimore as a player and on how he fits with the other cornerbacks' roles: "Yeah, he's certainly been exposed to a good system, and I'd say I've had the opportunity to coach against him as well. And, not everybody can go and match onto different players in different spots, left side, right side, in the slot and doing that. And so you gotta be a smart guy to be able to do that. And he's shown over the course of his career the ability to move inside and outside and staying connected to receivers.
On facing a veteran quarterback like Pittsburgh Steelers QB Russell Wilson: "Yeah, and the thing that when I think about Russ, the first thing that pops to my mind is this is a remarkable deep ball thrower. And it's what he is absolutely earned and been known for down inside and outside the pocket where he's got the ability to be able to throw on the run 50, 60 yards down the field to a spot that only his receiver can get to it or off a big play pass.
On how he feels two weeks after the rib injury: "Yeah, I mean, I feel better. Obviously, it's a progressive thing. Resting time is the only thing that's going to heal it. But other than that, I feel good."
On how he will help Lattimore get acclimated: "Man, I wish I could help him learn the defense. I can't, but just welcome him with open arms to our brotherhood in our locker room. Everybody's equal in our locker room. No matter if you're [LB] Bobby Wagner or you are a rookie that just came in or you're practice squad. Everybody's treated the same. So, we expect the same thing from him to treat everybody the same with respect and go out to bat for your brother."
On Pittsburgh’s defense: “I mean, for years, I mean ever since [Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach] Mike Tomlin was there, he is a hell of a coach. Obviously, he doesn’t have a losing record for a reason. So, he is going to have his guys ready to play. They play hard. They know their scheme. They have some really good players, obviously got [Pittsburgh Steelers DE] TJ Watt, [Pittsburgh Steelers LB] Patrick Queen, guys like that, [Pittsburgh Steelers S] Minkah Fitzpatrick. But overall, the whole defense, they play together. They have a good continuity and it's going to be a good challenge for us.”
