The Cleveland Guardians and Kansas City Royals will meet on Opening Day of the 2025 MLB season.
The American League Central rivals finished first and second in the division last season and each advanced to the playoffs. The Royals were eliminated in the ALDS and the Guardians in the ALCS, both at the hands of the New York Yankees.
Both teams will look to go one step further in 2025, and Thursday’s opener serves as the starting point.

Guardians vs. Royals will be broadcast locally on FD Sports Network Kansas City (re-branded from Bally Sports KC) in the greater Kansas City area, as well as CLEGUARDIANS.TV in the greater Cleveland area.
Those outside of Kansas City and Cleveland can stream the game on MLB.TV.
Guardians vs. Royals will begin at 4:10 PM ET / 3:10 PM CT / 1:10 PM PT on Thursday, March 27 from Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
