The sixth edition of the Leagues Cup kicks off tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4th, as the tournament continues to grow its audience.

Almost 70,000 fans attended the final of the 2025 edition in Seattle, which saw the Sounders lift the trophy after a 3-0 victory over Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami.

This summer's tournament, which pits the best US and Canadian teams against the 18 Liga MX clubs, is aiming to build off a fantastic World Cup staged across North America.

The top 18 MLS clubs from last season qualify to form a tournament consisting of 36 teams. Each team is placed in one of six groups with six teams in each group.

One of the matchups to watch on the first day comes from Charlotte, North Carolina, where Charlotte FC will take on one of the most famous Liga MX clubs - Pumas UNAM in the Eastern 1 group.
