For the third time this offseason, there is a new highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.
The Cincinnati Bengals signed wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase to a record-breaking four-year, $161 million deal, making out to an average annual salary of just north of $40 million.
Chase’s new deal eclipses those signed by Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby and Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett earlier this offseason, each of which broke the record for highest-paid non-QB in the NFL.
With the NFL salary cap rising to a record $279,200,000 for the 2025 season, and is expected to grow exponentially in the coming years, it is unlikely Chase holds this position for long.
