Has Paris Saint-Germain ever won the UEFA Champions League?

Paris Saint-Germain won its first UEFA Champions League title in 2025, defeating Inter Milan in the final, 5-0.

PSG put on a dominant display in the final to cap off a brilliant 2024/25 campaign, which began with a 15th place finish in the league phase and concluded with lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy in Munich.

In the final, Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring with a 12th-minute tap-in, 19-year old sensation Desire Doue scored twice and added an assist, Ballon d'Or frontrunner Ousmane Dembele logged two assists, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu scored the fourth and fifth goals to solidify the victory.

The five-goal margin of victory over Inter Milan marked the biggest ever win by a club in the UEFA Champions League final.

Prior to 2025, PSG had never lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy in its history. This season marked the second time PSG reached the UEFA Champions League final, its previous appearance coming in 2020.

In that game, played in an empty Estadio da Luz in Lisbon, PSG lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich via a 59th-minute header from Kingsley Coman.

After defeating Brest by a massive 10-goal margin over two legs, PSG matched up against Premier League leaders and UEFA Champions League frontrunners Liverpool, who finished top of the league phase with seven wins and one loss.

The sides were square at one goal apiece after 180 minutes, meaning extra time and penalties were required. Up stepped PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who saved penalties from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones to help his team advance.

That was the closest tie of PSG’s road to the final, although they did have a scare in the quarterfinals when Aston Villa scored twice in two minutes in the second half of the second leg, but PSG was able to hold firm and advance.

In the semifinal, another English opponent awaited in the form of Arsenal. PSG led the tie 3-0 when Arsenal scored its only goal across the two games.

In the final, a single game rather than a two-legged tie, PSG more than backed up their status as favorites and put on a historic performance under the lights in Munich.
