There are no titles at stake in the Main Event between Gonzalez and Barrera. This fight is more of a homecoming for Gonzalez, while Barrera is looking to get revenge for when Gonzalez beat his brother by knockout in May of 2013.

Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez record

Gonzalez comes into this fight with a professional boxing record of 51-4.

He originally made his professional boxing debut in July of 2005, when he beat Ramon Urbina by knockout. Fast forward to October of 2006 and Gonzalez was 8-0, earning his first title fight. This was for the vacant WBA Fedecentro and Nicaraguan Light Flyweight titles. After winning this title fight, Gonzalez earned another title shot in May of 2007, when he won the WBA Fedelatin Minimumweight title.

Gonzalez continued his winning streak, entering his next title fight for the WBA Minimumweight title with a record of 20-0 in September of 2008. He won this fight as well and then was able to defend it a total of three times over the next two years. 

Come October of 2010, Gonzalez won the vacant WBA Interim Light Flyweight title and defended this title five times. He won yet another title in September of 2014, this time the WBC and The Ring Flyweight titles, defending both of these titles four times before claiming the WBC Super Flyweight title in September of 2016.

It was at this point that Gonzalez was 46-0 before finally suffering his first two losses in March and September of 2017, both to Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.

Gonzalez quickly bounced back, winning his next four fights, which included him winning the WBA (Super) Super Flyweight title in February of 2020. Since then, however, he has lost two of his last three fights, the most recent coming in December of 2022.

Over the course of his career, Gonzalez has picked up 41 wins by knockout, and 10 wins by decision. His losses include three by decision and just one by knockout. 

Rober Barrera record

Barrera comes into this fight with a professional boxing record of 27-5.

He made his debut in July of 2013, winning his first 12 fights in a row. His first loss finally came in October of 2015. Barrera bounced back quickly, winning his next six fights before losing in July of 2017.

Again, Barrera put together a five-fight win streak before losing back-to-back fights in February of 2020 and November of 2021 with a No Contest in between those two defeats.

He has won four of his last five fights, though, including his last three in a row.

In his career, Barrera has won 17 times by knockout and 10 times by decision. His losses include three by decision and two by knockout.
