The 2025 U.S. Women’s Open begins on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Erin Hills in Erin Hills, Wisconsin.
A field of 156 players will compete over the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday. That will be reduced to around half that amount after the cut, with the final two rounds due to take place over the weekend.
The final round takes place on Sunday, June 1.
If two or more players are tied for the lead after the planned 72 holes of stroke play, there will be a two-hole aggregate playoff. If a winner is still to be decided the playoff would enter a sudden death format.
