We have reached crunch time in the inaugural TGL season and there are no more chances left for Boston Common.
The team containing Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley and Adam Scott have to muster a victory over New York in their final regular-season game to have any chance of progressing to the playoffs, which will start on Monday, March 17th.
And even if they do win on Monday, they could still fall short as they also need Atlanta Drive to win their game against Jupiter Links on Tuesday and a five-hole swing in their favor to book that all-important top-four spot.
The equation is a lot more simple for New York, who will extend their season if they come out on top on Monday. Even an overtime loss would see them through should Atlanta triumph in the second game of the Monday night doubleheader.
That task would have been made a lot simpler for New York if they had held on to the advantage they enjoyed against Los Angeles last week, but they will be keen to make up for the disappointment of that 5-4 loss

Boston Common find themselves in dire straits and it could be that they have left themselves with too much to do to get into the top four with just one game remaining.
The fact they have won 11 holes to New York’s 15 is a big issue because that will be the deciding factor if they finish level on points. They don’t have to just win, they have to win big.
However, even a straight victory could prove beyond them as New York must be wondering how they allowed a 4-0 lead to slip last week when they fell to an overtime defeat to Los Angeles.
That should spur them on because it was a case of LA mustering some inspired play rather than the boys from the Big Apple collapsing. New York did not do a lot wrong.
For Boston, the putts aren't sinking and it has not quite come together, while it is arguable that they will not be as strong this week with Scott joining McIlroy and Bradley in place of Hideki Matsuyama.
With New York able to welcome back Xander Schauffele after his rib injury, the balance looks to be tipped in their favor.
The main problem for Boston is that they have been unable to get their act together in the triples, winning just four holes in that format during the course of the competition.
The first nine holes are played in this format before the singles takes over for the final six. Boston, known as the Ballfrogs, could find themselves facing a deficit by the end of the first stage of the clash.
Admittedly, they have been improving as they have posted 13 birdies in their last two matches in comparison to the four they mustered in their opening two encounters, but they still face a tough task against a team that as well as Schauffele contains Carson Young and Rickie Fowler.
New York’s big asset has been their power off the tee - their average of 317.5 yards per drive is the longest of all six teams in the competition - and that could help them overpower Boston even if they have the big-hitting McIlroy in their line-up.
The Northern Irishman has struggled with his putting, which is another big concern with Boston facing such a tough task to get into the playoffs and their opponents could establish an advantage before we get round to the last six holes.
