LIV Golf heads to Florida for the fifth event of its 2024 season when competitors will assemble to take on the Blue Monster at the Trump National Doral in April.
It will be a familiar course to most of the players after hosting the Team Championship in the first two years of the new tour, but this time moves from the Fall to the spring.
The Crushers, made up of Bryson DeChambeau, Paul Casey, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri, triumphed there in October and will have high hopes of a repeat success this time after coming out on top in the last gathering in Hong Kong.
Casey was runner-up that day as Mexico’s Abraham Ancer beat the Englishman and Cameron Smith in a playoff there and it promises to be a competitive three days.
The tournament will be played over three days and 54 holes, starting on Friday, April 5 and finishing on Sunday, April 7.
In all LIV tournaments, a shotgun start is adopted so all players will begin play at 1:15 PM EST for the first two rounds and at 1:05 PM EST on Sunday.
In the United States, all LIV events are broadcast on the CW Network. The event is able to be streamed on the LIV Golf Plus App and LIV Golf YouTube.
Few of the 54 players will be strangers to the Doral layout as it has an extensive history of hosting tournaments on both the PGA Tour and part of the World Golf Championship.
The course, which opened in 1962 and hosted the first Doral Open Invitational that year, is named the Blue Monster for a reason as it measures 7,792 yards and contains four par-fives, including the 670-yard 12th.
Tiger Woods won the two final PGA Tour events held at the Florida venue in 2005 and 2006, and it went on to host WGC events until 2017 following a change to the PGA schedule.
LIV players Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and Phil Mickelson are all course winners.
