The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs will face the No. 2 Texas Longhorns in the 2024 Southeastern Conference Championship with a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff on the line.
The SEC has proven to be the deepest conference in the nation in the 2024 season. Texas (11-1, 7-1 SEC) managed to lose just once in its first season in the SEC to sit in first place heading into conference championship weekend.
In the SEC Championship, they have a chance at revenge against the Georgia team that beat them in Week 8.
Georgia (10-2, 6-2 SEC) suffered its two losses to then-No. 4 Alabama and then-No. 16 Ole Miss. While QB Carson Beck went through a rough six-game stretch in which he threw 10 TDs to 12 interceptions, the team still posted a 4-2 record in those matchups and played clean football in its final three games.
Georgia vs. Texas in the SEC Championship will be broadcast on ABC, which can be viewed through linear or cable TV and streamed via live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.
Georgia vs. Texas is scheduled to start at 4 PM ET/3 PM CT/1 PM PT on Saturday, December 7 with the game taking place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
