Bowl season continues on Thursday when the Georgia Southern Eagles (8-4) and Sam Houston Bearkats (9-3) head to Louisiana to face off in the New Orleans Bowl.

This is the first time either program has appeared in this bowl game. It's the first bowl game for Sam Houston in the program's second season of existence, and it's Georgia Southern's football team's seventh bowl game in 11 years of existence

The main storyline heading into this one is the fact that two weeks ago, former Bearkats coach KC Keeler took the head coaching job at Temple University, but only one Sam Houston player has since entered the transfer portal.
