The Fred Biletnikoff Award is given to the top wide receiver in college football.
The award has been earned by quite a few players who have gone onto have glittering professional careers, including Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson.
While it's not as prestigious as the Heisman Trophy, which is given to the top overall player in college football each year, this award is important to any wideout who wants the respect - and the draft stock boost - that comes with being the best in the position.
Let's get into the odds to win the Biletnikoff Award in the 2024 season.
Luther Burden III | +275 |
Tetairoa McMillan | +700 |
Evan Stewart | +800 |
Emeka Egbuka | +1000 |
Xavier Restrepo | +1100 |
Tez Johnson | +1200 |
Deion Burks | +1400 |
Isaiah Bond | +1600 |
Jeremiah Smith | +1800 |
Tre Harris | +1800 |
Zachariah Branch | +2000 |
Travis Hunter | +2200 |
Missouri WR Luther Burden III, one season after finishing ninth in the nation in receiving yards with 1,212, enters the 2024 season as the favorite to win the Biletnikoff Award.
His QB from last year, Brady Cook, is back and will be looking to build upon his career year in 2023 by finding Burden early and often this time around.
Tetairoa McMillan of Arizona is second in the market after he had the fifth-most receiving yards last year with 1,402, and McMillan's QB from last year, Noah Fifita, returns.
McMillan will once again be Fifita's top target, and with 18 receiving TDs in just two seasons, the 6-foot-5 third-year receiver is set up for a superstar campaign in 2024.
Oregon transfer Evan Stewart is third in the Biletnikoff Award market. He posted 1,163 yards and six TDs in two seasons at Texas A&M, but he should see a boost from playing in Dan Lanning's offense with Dillon Gabriel at QB.
Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka is fourth in the odds as he returns for his fourth season, and he'll finally be out of the shadow of last year's Biletnikoff winner, Marvin Harrison Jr. Egbuka had 10 TDs and over 1,000 receiving yards in 2022 and while those numbers were cut in half in 2023, he should begin the 2024 season as the top target in Columbus.
Xavier Restrepo of the Miami Hurricanes broke out as a fourth-year player last year, and he enters 2024 with the fifth-shortest Biletnikoff odds as his team brought in QB Cam Ward this season. Restrepo will look to further improve upon his 1,092 receiving yards and six receiving TDs from 2023.
Further back in the odds between 12/1 and 22/1 are Oregon's Tez Johnson, Oklahoma's Deion Burks, Isaiah Bond of Texas, Ohio State true freshman Jeremiah Smith, Tre Harris of Ole Miss, USC's Zachariah Branch, and Colorado's two-way superstar Travis Hunter.
