Tiafoe is yet to drop a set at this year’s Roland-Garros, breezing past Roman Safiullin and Pablo Carreno-Busta to reach the third round. The 27-year-old has never advanced beyond this stage in nine previous tries in Paris.

Korda has looked sharp as well, defeating Luciano Darderi in four sets and Jenson Brooksby in straight sets to reach the third round for the third time in his career at the French Open.

This will mark the 7th all-time meeting between Tiafoe and Korda, with the series knotted at three wins apiece. Korda has won each of the last three meetings, although Tiafoe did emerge victorious in their only meeting on clay in the 2022 Estoril Open semifinal.
