After upsetting Canada on Tuesday, Victor Wembanyama and France will face off against Germany in the semifinals of the men's basketball competition at the Olympics.
Outside of the U.S., the Germans have been the most impressive team in the competition, winning all four games by double-digits including an 85-71 victory over France in the group stage.
Germany defeated Greece 76-63 in the quarterfinals, holding Giannis Antetokounmpo to 22 points, two rebounds and three assists.
Both teams have recent experience in the latter stages of major tournaments, too, with Germany just one year removed from its 2023 FIBA World Cup championship and France the runners-up at the Olympics three years ago.
France vs. Germany will be shown live on USA Network.
Streaming will be available on Peacock, which requires a subscription, as well as NBCOlympics.com, which requires a TV provider login.
France vs. Germany will tip off at 11:30 AM ET / 8:30 AM PT on Thursday, August 8 from Bercy Arena in Paris, France.
France's Rudy Gobert reportedly suffered a finger injury in practice prior to his team's quarterfinal win over Canada on Tuesday, and played fewer than four minutes in the win. His status for the semifinal vs. Germany is uncertain.
For Germany, there are no injuries to report.
