The 2027 Formula 1 season is set to feature a record-breaking 24 Grand Prix events across 22 countries, including an expanded schedule of 10 Sprint races.
Formula 1 has officially confirmed the dates and tracks for its 2027 championship season. Key highlights include the return of the Turkish Grand Prix in October and the reintroduction of the Portuguese Grand Prix in June.
The Algarve International Circuit, commonly known as Portimão, is located in southern Portugal and previously hosted F1 races in 2020 and 2021 as a replacement during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Another significant change is the increase in the number of Sprint races from six to ten, a move designed to inject more action and competitive drama into race weekends throughout the season.
The first Grand Prix of 2027 will take place in Bahrain from March 12-14. The calendar will conclude in Abu Dhabi on December 12th.
