The Florida Gators and Houston Cougars face off in the 2025 March Madness National Championship on Monday night.
Both teams — each a No. 1 seed in the tournament — have faced difficult paths to get to this point. Houston beat SIU Edwardsville, Gonzaga, Purdue, Tennessee, and most recently, Duke. Florida beat Norfolk State, two-time reigning National Champion UConn, Maryland, Texas Tech, and Auburn.
Cougars guard LJ Cryer was the key to his team's success over Duke in the Final Four, scoring 26 points on 6/9 three-point shooting. Walter Clayton Jr. dominated for Florida to get past Auburn, scoring 34 points on 5/8 shooting from beyond the arc.
