The Women's College World Series begins tomorrow, Thursday May 28th, and a familiar face is shockingly out of the bracket.
The Oklahoma Sooners suffered a loss in the super regional round to un-seeded Mississippi State. Oklahoma had won six of the last nine World Series' and their exit opens the door for the rest of the competition.
Along with the Bulldogs, Alabama, Texas, Nebraska, Arkansas, Tennessee, UCLA, and Texas Tech round out the eight teams in the WCWS this year. Only the Longhorns and Bruins have won the World Series in the last 10 years out of the field, with five never winning it all.
Texas won it all last year and started the season in dominating fashion going 31-1 to open the season. They scuffled a bit to close, but the veteran leadership from last year's team is still there.
There's no clear favorite to win the title, with Bama and UCLA each being the top-two favorites at +375. Read about the rest of the odds for each team to win it here.
