The LPL may be a little behind other major regional divisions with its Spring split schedule, but it promises to be worth the wait. The third round of the playoffs begins with plenty of action.
Weibo Gaming has already been eliminated in one of the third-round encounters but plenty of eyes will be on the game involving LNG and Oh My God. LNG were one of the standout teams in the LPL Spring regular season this year, posting a 13-3 win-loss record, while Oh My God also made the top six.
The winners will move on to the upper bracket in round four, whereas the losers will still move on but fall to the lower bracket. Not only is the event getting down to the nitty-gritty, but the top teams are beginning to show themselves.
These matches will be key in deciding which four teams will be dueling it out for the Championship come this weekend. All the favorites remain, and it doesn't look like an underdog story to this point is going to make a difference.
Let's take a closer look at Tuesday's slate of matches.

Odds | LNG (-1.5) -150, OMG (+1.5) +115 |
LNG looks to be the fresher team coming into this round three-match-up. They will have to take down OMG to reach the fourth-round match-up with EDG. OMG was able to dispose of Top Esports with a 3-2 victory in the second round of this tournament.
Both teams have guaranteed themselves a finish in the top six in this event. The top spots get an automatic qualification into MSI 2023. LNG was able to finish the regular season of the Spring Split in the third-spot and looks to build on that with a possible berth into the upper-bracket fourth round.
LNG didn't have that great of a 2022 campaign as they failed to reach the big dance in League of Legends. They look like they could have a shot this time around.
As for Oh My God they finished 6th in the LPL Spring Split regular season. They aren't among the strongest teams out of China's LPL, but they certainly look to be getting better. This team hasn't finished higher than 6th in any of their major events they have played in. That could easily change if they find a way to beat LNG.
OMG's shanji has been outstanding thus far with 3 stellar performances thus far and he looks to be the early leader to win Playoff MVP in the LPL. Things could easily change in this match with LNG, as they are going to be hard to stop as a whole unit, not just one player.
That just doesn't seem probable for this team. It was a nice run, but LNG is the better play to cover at -150.

What | JD Gaming vs. BLG |
Where | China |
When | 05:00 am ET, Tuesday April 4th, 2023 |
How to watch | LPL Twitch and YouTube |
Odds | JD Gaming -225, BLG +175 |
Experience should be a key factor in the fourth-round match-up between JD Gaming and BLG as the teams go to battle for a spot in the semi-finals.
Bilibilli Gaming was able to shut out Weibo Gaming in their third-round match to eliminate that team and defer them to a 5th-place finish. BLG has been on a run after they were one of the bottom teams to qualify for the playoffs.
Looking at their foe JD Gaming, this team looks to continue their strong start to 2023 as they were able to finish first in the LPL 2023 Spring Split regular season. The team finished 3rd-4th at the 2022 World Championships.
JD Gaming not only has that Worlds experience but they have won a majority of the last three head-to-head matches with BLG. That includes a 2-1 victory when the teams met in January at the beginning of the Spring Split.
BLG has plenty of ground to make up after a 5th-place finish in the regular season. This team has really made some gains including winning the Demacia Cup 2022, in the offseason. Still, they have already played two matches in these playoffs.
That could wear on their players and should make a big difference. Backing a fresh JD Gaming to win outright at -225 is the right move.
