League of Legends LPL Split 1: Picks, Predictions and Odds

The LPL is widely regarded as one of the fiercest divisions in the world of League of Legends and the region's new season is already underway with Split 1 starting last month.

Last year undoubtedly belonged to Bilibili Gaming when it came to the LPL.

The Chinese outfit won both the LPL Spring and LPL Summer in 2024, dominating domestically and winning an eye-catching 15 of their 16 matches in the regular stage of the LPL Spring.

On the international stage, they twice had to settle for second best - first in the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational and then in the 2024 League of Legends World Championship.

JD Gaming underwhelmed with an early exit in the LPL Summer playoffs last year but in the LPL Spring, they were semi-finalists in the playoffs after finishing third in the regular-season standings.

They were active during the off-season, strengthening their roster with the acquisitions of talented trio "Xun", "Scout" and "Peyz" and those additions could well take them to the next level.

They have made a convincing start to Split 1 with two wins from two series, while they won six of their eight games in victories over Oh My God and Ultra Prime.

They conclude Group B with a similarly strong Weibo Gaming but that should ensure they are battle-hardened for the playoffs.

At +600, JD Gaming look worth a bet to cause a stir and challenge favorites Bilibili Gaming for the LPL Split 1 title.
