With the first Major in the rearview mirror, the Call of Duty League season is up and running for 2025 and attention is now on qualifying for the campaign's second Major.
Atlanta FaZe, owned by FaZe Clan, won the first Major of the season at the Caja Magica in Madrid, Spain, and have laid down a marker for the rest of the year.
But a new Major brings with it new hope for the rest of the teams and qualifying for Major 2 has already started.
Following the initial batch of matches which took place across Friday and Saturday, it is Boston Breach who lead the way as the only team to have played two matches and won them both.
But the likes of Cloud9 New York, Los Angeles Thieves and Minnesota ROKKR are right up there too and will be eager to cement a high position at the end of week one in qualifying.
Major 1 winners Atlanta FaZe have already faltered with a defeat, so their record stands at 1-1, while the likes of Toronto Ultra and OpTic Texas have work to do as they prop up the Major 2 qualifying table.
There is plenty of time for things to change around, though with three more weeks of matches in qualifying before Major 2 begins in March.
Ahead of Sunday's matches, here is a look at the best bets and predictions for Call of Duty League Major 2 qualifying.
Both Carolina Royal Ravens and Toronto Ultra began qualifying for Major 2 with defeats earlier this weekend and they will be eager to put things right when they square up on Sunday.
The Ravens were overpowered 3-0 by LA Thieves, while Toronto Ultra lost by the same scoreline against Cloud9 New York and there is not an awful lot between them in the odds.
In qualifying for Major 1, however, Toronto seriously impressed with six wins from their seven matches and they were not disgraced in the main tournament either.
They lost 3-2 to Carolina Royal Ravens in the lower bracket of the main event but that came after a draining encounter with eventual champions Atlanta FaZe.
Ultra still deserve respect as winners of a Major in 2024 and at -138, they are worth a bet to edge the Royal Ravens.
There were eye-catching wins for both Cloud9 New York and Vancouver Surge in the first batch of qualifiers for Major 2 and the pair look tough to separate.
With that in mind, it could pay to go for the bigger odds and Vancouver are worth a pick at +100.
Their opening qualifying victory came against Major 1 winners Atlanta FaZe and, while they underperformed in the last Major, Surge are a place above Cloud9 New York in the overall standings for the 2025 Call of Duty League.
OpTic Texas have started qualifying for Major 2 on the back foot but they can return to winning ways when they face Minnesota ROKKR in the final match of the week.
ROKKR have a win to their name but it was only a 3-1 victory over Miami Heretics, so not exactly a headline-grabber.
As for OpTic Texas, they were hammered by a wounded Atlanta FaZe team 3-0 which is a forgivable defeat.
OpTic Texas showed their class in the opening Major, topping the qualifying standings with six wins from seven matches and 20 wins from their 30 individual games.
They faltered in the main event but their qualifying form is strong and they look a good pick to win this at -175.
