With a live audience set to watch the action across all four days and a prize pool of $1 million, the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Split 2 Playoffs get under way later this week.
The S-Tier tournament will be played in Mannheim, Germany and offers teams the chance to pick up both prize money and key playoff points, which could unlock a spot at the ALGS Championship later this season.
There are 40 teams involved in the tournament at the SAP Arena and they are initially divided across four groups before progressing to the bracket stage and the finals.
Such a large field means there are plenty of teams set to merely make up the numbers but the ALGS Playoffs will also feature some of the most notable Esports organizations in the world from Team Falcons to FURIA Esports.
As well as betting on the winning group at the event, punters can wager on which team will come out on top with one side particularly fancied in the outright betting.
Here is a look at how bettors should look to approach the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs this week.
Arguments can be made for a host of teams competing in this year's APEX ALGS Split 2 Playoffs, but conversations will inevitably lead back to Team Falcons.
The Saudi Arabian organization has been the big talking point on the APEX Esports circuit this year and they are unsurprisingly at the top of the betting at +150.
For those not on top of the Esport, that may come as a surprise given that Team Falcons did not even feature in the APEX ALGS Split 1 Playoffs.
But they are a newly formed side, having established themselves in APEX Legends back in May this year when they made the signings of "ImperialHal", "Zer0" and "Genburten" to a new roster.
They have since been dubbed the "superteam" in the world of APEX Legends and there should be no shortage of incentive as they go into the APEX ALGS Split 2 Playoffs with a point to prove.
Having won their regional finals earlier this year, Team Falcons have since gone on to win the ALGS 2024 Split 2 Pro League in North America, before finishing runners-up in the APEX event as part of the Esports World Cup 2024.
They have underwhelmed in a few B-Tier events already this month but they are a team for the big occasion and should shine in the APEX ALGS Playoffs.
Those after an outside bet might look at the likes of Legends Gaming or TSM as potential candidates for the APEX ALGS Playoffs title.
But for those unwilling to back favorites Team Falcons, Luminosity Gaming could instead be the next best bet at +1000.
The team from North America finished down in ninth at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs but the teams which performed well in that event are not necessarily set for success in Split 2.
Since that event in May, they have continued to grow as a team, placing fourth in the ALGS Split 2 Pro League for their region before a respectable third-placed finish at the Esports World Cup.
They collected $200,000 in prize money thanks to that performance and they are in a good position in Group A, having avoided other big guns like Team Falcons, Legends Gaming, TSM or Gaimin Gladiators.
At +1200, Not Moist could also be worth a look. They won the Code Red - Freedom: The Storm B-Tier event earlier this month but, more importantly, placed fourth in the ALGS Split One Playoffs earlier in the year.
