Andy Edwards, the co-owner of Cheltenham Festival winner L'Homme Presse, is willing to wait until the last minute to decide whether or not his star will run in Friday's Betway Mildmay Novices' Chase (2.55) at Aintree.
The Venetia Williams-trained seven-year-old has registered an unbeaten season thus far, but is set to face another stern test later this week as he could line-up for a rematch with Ahoy Senor, who he beat in the Brown Advisory last month.

Edwards believes that the Mildmay course might not suit L'Homme Presse, but he remains confident that things can work in his favour in the contest for which he is a 6/4 chance with bet365. You can follow the action via our Sports Live Streaming platform.
"It's a speed track, it's not our boy's ideal track," said Edwards. "Everything he's done has been at stiff courses. He prefers those tracks like Exeter, Cheltenham, Ascot and Sandown, where his skill set comes into play more than others.
"If they call it good to soft and we walk it and it's more like it was at Newbury [earlier in the season] - which was good, good to firm in places - then we won't run. But I’m prepared to take him up there and make the decision once we've walked the course because that's how much we want to go. It's the right thing for the horse.
"We want to run and it looks like the rain is coming in the nick of time," added Edwards. "He's fit and well and ready to rock."
