Washington Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews, MLB's third-ranked prospect, makes his big league debut on Monday, August 26 against the New York Yankees.
Crews was drafted with the second-overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, behind LSU teammate Paul Skenes. The two led LSU to win the 2023 Men's College World Series.
After he was drafted in 2023, Crews played his way up to Double-A ball, where he began the 2024 campaign. He has split his 2024 season almost evenly with 51 games in Double-A and 49 games in Triple-A.
Crews has put up near-identical numbers at each level.
With the Double-A Harrisburg Senators, he's hitting .274/.343/.446; he's hitting .265/.340/.455 with the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings. He hit five home runs with 38 RBI at AA and hit eight homers with 30 RBI at AAA.
Since the beginning of August, Crews has an .870 OPS in 18 games while hitting .290 with four home runs, 14 RBI, two triples and five stolen bases at AAA.
Crews mostly played in centerfield this season, but he'll likely debut in rightfield thanks to the strong play of Jacob Young in center and James Wood in left. In advance of his MLB debut, Crews has played in rightfield seven times since August 1.
Let's get into Crews' props, odds and lines ahead of his debut against the Yankees.
