Oregon Ducks QB Dillon Gabriel enters Week 8 as the second-favorite to win the Heisman Trophy after leading his team to a win over Ohio State last week, and he has the chance to boost his numbers against a 1-5 Purdue team.
Gabriel completed 23/24 passes (67.6 percent) for 359 yards and two TDs, and he rushed four times for 32 yards and a score. It was his second game this season with over 300 passing yards.
As a result of that performance, Gabriel's Heisman Trophy odds moved to +350, the second-shortest Heisman odds behind Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty.
Through six games this season, Gabriel has completed 76.1 percent of his passes for 1,808 yards and a 13-3 TD-INT ratio. His completion percentage and passing yards per game average (301.3) are both the best in the Big Ten.
Let's take a look at Gabriel's odds ahead of a matchup against Purdue, which has the 11th-worst defense by average yards allowed in Division I this season.
