San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. has requested a trade.
The one-time Pro Bowler and one-time first-team All-Pro is coming off a 2024 campaign in which he had the fewest touches, total yards, and total touchdowns since his second year in the NFL.
Samuel has been inconsistent over the past four seasons, which likely motivated him to search for a change of scenery.
In his All-Pro season, Samuel caught 77 passes for 1,405 receiving yards and six receiving TDs. He also carried the ball 59 times for 365 yards and eight rushing TDs that year. He has not reached 1,000 receiving yards since then, but he did record 1,117 total yards in 2023.
But, in 2022 and 2024, he failed to record 900 total yards despite playing 13 games in 2022 and 15 in 2024. At 29 years old, acquiring Samuel will be regarded as a high-risk, high-reward move by most front offices.
Here, we have the latest odds for Samuel's next team.

The Washington Commanders are the new favorites (+200) to acquire Deebo Samuel ahead of the 2025 NFL season.
QB Jayden Daniels led the team way beyond expectations in his rookie year as the Commanders made the NFC Championship, but he could use more firepower surrounding him on offense as Washington finished 17th in passing yards in 2024.
Having opened as favorites to hold onto Samuel, his current team, the San Francisco 49ers, are now +290 second-favorites to start the season with Samuel on the team. At the NFL Combine, Niners general manager John Lynch said the team will 'honor' Samuel's trade request.
As he enters the last year of his contract, Samuel carries a cap hit close to $16 million, which could make it difficult for the Niners to find a buyer. And, if San Francisco released him, he would count $31 million against the salary cap in dead money.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are third-favorites at +650 to acquire Samuel. Pittsburgh finished 27th out of 32 teams in passing yards.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin could use another high-level target to pair with George Pickens, who was the only Steeler to surpass 700 receiving yards in 2024.
The Denver Broncos, +850 fourth-favorites to land Samuel, fared better than anyone expected with rookie QB Bo Nix under center in 2024.
The next step is to get Nix some help after Denver finished 20th in passing yards but was one of just eight teams to reach 30 passing TDs, meaning a deep threat like Samuel could fit in well to move the ball down the field.
The Los Angeles Chargers have the fifth-shortest odds (+900) to land Samuel, and they're the last of the five teams shorter than 10/1 to land the star receiver.
The Chargers finished 19th in passing yards last season, and star QB Justin Herbert could use an experienced target after rookie Ladd McConkey's 1,149 receiving yards led the team by a 438-yard margin.
A total of 12 teams are between 10/1 and 20/1 to be Samuel's next team: The Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys.
