Esports day by day: League of Legends leads the way

League of Legends is at the forefront of another jam-packed week of Esports, but there is also another Counter Strike: Global Offensive tournament to look forward to.

Tuesday

League of Legends: Top Esports and JD Gaming fancied for wins

After Monday's double-header featuring LNG Esports against LGD Gaming and Ninjas in Pyjamas versus Rare Atom, the LPL Summer is back in action on Tuesday with three matches.

Only one week remains before the LPL Summer regular season concludes and there are a couple of big matches on Tuesday, with highflyers Top Esports and JD Gaming both in action.

Top Esports, who have won ten of their 14 matches this season, are expected to see off Ultra Prime, while later in the day JD Gaming, who are on 11 wins, are -1600 to make it 12 against Team WE.

In between those two matches, Oh My God, who have already secured a play-off berth, are -500 to beat +333 Anyone's Legend.

Wednesday

League of Legends: Start of week six in South Korea's LCK Summer

There is a bit further to go in South Korea's LCK Summer season, but the action continues on Wednesday with the start of the sixth week.

Gen.G Esports are the team to watch, having won each of their opening ten matches in the split, and they are strongly fancied at -3300 to defeat shots Nongshim RedForce.

Thursday

CS:GO: BLAST Premier Fall Groups get underway

The big event to keep an eye on this week is the BLAST Premier Fall Groups, which starts in Copenhagen on Thursday and runs for ten days.

The S-Tier event features 12 of the best CS:GO teams around with the top six set to advance to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals later this year, while the rest of the teams will drop into their respective Fall Showdown competitions.

The BLAST Premier Fall Groups begin with three double-elimination format groups and the winners of Groups A, B and C automatically secure their places in the finals later in 2023.

The remaining teams then advanced to the play-in stage with the group runners-up given a bye to the second round and the three winners of the gauntlet will also make their way to the finals.

Team Vitality are -225 favourites to come out on top in Group A, while -163 Heroic are Group B favourites and both FaZe Clan and G2 Esports are +120 to win Group C.

The competition's first two matches on Thursday are between Team Vitality and Evil Geniuses, and /Ninjas in Pyjamas and Complexity.

Friday

CS:GO: Triple header in BLAST Premier Fall Groups

On Friday the action continues in this year's BLAST Premier Fall Groups with both upper-bracket semi-finals from Group B.

Heroic are -1000 to beat BIG in the first match, before a more even contest between -138 Natus Vincere and Astralis, who can be backed at +100 to win.

The last match on Friday is the Group C opener between FaZe Clan and OG, with the former third in the HLTV world rankings.

Saturday

CS:GO: Potential Group C winners in action in BLAST Premier Fall Groups

There is just the one match taking place in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups on Saturday and it is the last of the group upper-bracket semi-finals.

G2 Esports, who placed in the 3rd-4th positions in the BLAST Premier Spring Final in June, are the -450 favourites to see off Team Liquid, who are priced at +300 to pull off a shock win.

Team Liquid are ninth in the world rankings and failed to make much of an impression at their last major tournament - the IEM Dallas in May and June.

Sunday

League of Legends: Week concludes with key LEC Summer Groups clashes

Attention returns to League of Legends on Sunday with the continuation of the LEC Summer with its group stage.

The LEC Summer is unique in the fact it is split into three stages - the regular season, the group stage and then the play-offs.

The regular season concluded with Astralis and Team Vitality eliminated from the event and the remaining eight teams start their LEC Summer Groups campaign this weekend.

On Sunday there are two matches on the cards as -600 Fnatic take on +350 SK Gaming, while -150 MAD Lions clash with Excel.
