New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams is still looking for his first touchdown since being traded to his new team.
And he’ll have his next chance when the Jets host the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football in Week 9. It will mark New York’s fifth primetime game of the season and second since acquiring Adams on October 15.
In two games with the Jets, Adams has 7 catches on 15 targets for 84 yards.
Once tabbed to be a contender in the AFC, the Jets (2-6) have been tailspinning for weeks. The firing of head coach Robert Saleh and trade for Adams, undoubtedly a top-10 NFL receiver and former go-to guy of QB Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, has not improved the team’s perofrmances or outlook.
The result? A 2-6 record and a five-game losing streak, most recently at the hands of the lowly New England Patriots in Week 8.
But there is still time for the Jets to turn it around, and if they do, Adams should be a big reason why.
Going up against an injury-riddled Texans team on TNF, let’s look at Davante Adams’ player props and odds.
