Davante Adams Next Team Odds: Jets, Ravens, Bills, Saints among favorites

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is expected to be traded to a new team by the NFL trade deadline (Tuesday, November 5 at 4 PM ET).

Adams requested a trade from the Raiders on September 30, and will miss his third-straight game in Week 6 as he awaits a move.

The 31-year-old has been one of the NFL’s best wide-outs over the past decade and still provides tremendous value to any team, especially one contending for a championship.

Originally lured to the Raiders to team up with ex-college teammate QB Derek Carr in 2022, things fell apart quickly in Vegas. They finished 6-11 and Carr was released immediately after the season.

Vegas improved to an 8-9 record in Adams’ second season with the team, but another playoffs missed and QB and coach dysfunction seemingly pushed the star WR to the decision he ultimately came to this season.

All the while, Adams has remained an elite WR when he has been on the field. In 37 games with the Raiders, Adams logged 2,869 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns. His only games missed in a Vegas uniform have come this season since he requested a trade.

Let’s take a look at the teams favored to land Adams ahead of the Nov. 5 deadline.

Davante Adams - Team on Nov. 6, 2024

NY Jets

-150

BAL Ravens

+350

BUF Bills

+600

NO Saints

+600

PIT Steelers

+750

WAS Commanders

+900

DET Lions

+1600

LV Raiders

+1600

GB Packers

+2800

SF 49ers

+3300

The New York Jets are the favorites to land Adams at -150.

The link between Adams and the Jets is obvious – former Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers is under center. The Rodgers-Adams tandem in Green Bay (2014-21) was arguably the best QB-WR duo in the NFL, and the two have spoken glowingly about their friendship, mutual respect and experience playing with each other.

However, the Jets are dealing with their own turmoil, having just fired head coach Robert Saleh following a 2-3 start to the season.

The Ravens (+350) are second-favorite to acquire Adams. A surefire championship contender, Baltimore would have the most feared offense in the NFL if they brought Adams in to team up with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. Adams posted a photo of 19th century writer and poet Edgar Allen Poe, author of “The Raven,” on his Instagram story, leading many to believe the Ravens could be his new team.

Despite this, reports have come out, including in an article published on the Ravens’ official site, that the team is not pursuing a trade for Adams.

The Bills (+600) and Saints (+600) are next up, the latter of which would re-unite Fresno State and Raiders teammates Adams and Carr.

Buffalo, another team considered a title contender, could benefit greatly from adding a veteran wide-out like Adams. Perennial MVP candidate QB Josh Allen would certainly appreciate his front office working to make that trade happen.

Pittsburgh (+750) and the upstart Washington Commanders (+900) are also among the favorites.

Adams is +1600 to remain with Vegas beyond the Nov. 5 deadline, and priced at +2800 for a return to Green Bay.
