Four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook was released by the Minnesota Vikings in June, and remains unsigned. Which team will scoop up the seventh-year back?
The Vikings released Cook on June 8 in what was a money-saving move.
Minnesota, who operates under second-year general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, will save $9 million as a result of cutting Cook after June 1. Cook was set to take up $14.1 million in cap space in 2023, while earning $11 million.
As is the theme in today’s NFL, teams just aren’t willing to commit those types of figures to aging running backs – although Cook has played in 58 of 65 possible regular season games since 2019, while going to four-straight Pro Bowls.
Let’s take a look at where Cook might end up next.
New England Patriots +160
Miami Dolphins +200
New York Jets +400
Buffalo Bills +1200
Dallas Cowboys +1200
Denver Bronco +2000
Washington Commanders +2000
