The latest betting pick, predictions, odds and player props for Dallas Stars vs. Colorado Avalanche Game 3, courtesy of our friends at Daily Faceoff.
The scene shifts to Colorado for Game 3 of this Western Conference first-round series after these two teams split a pair of games in Dallas. After dropping Game 1 in blowout fashion, the Stars were lucky to come away with a victory in Game 2.
They trailed 3-2 before Evgenii Dadonov tied up the game midway through the third period, setting the stage for Colin Blackwell’s dramatic OT-winning goal.
The Avs have taken three of the last four meetings between these two teams dating back to the regular season, including the last two games played at high elevation in Ball Arena. Colorado has won 12 of its last 15 games on home ice dating back to the regular season, with 10 of those wins coming by at least a two-goal margin.
The Avs should be further inspired by the likely return Wednesday of captain Gabriel Landeskog, who hasn’t played since Game 6 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Final due to significant knee problems.
Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon has been spectacular in this series, scoring three goals and adding an assist for four points. He’s +115 to score an anytime goal and +132 to record Over 1.5 total points on Wednesday.
After facing just 24 shots in Game 1, Avalanche goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood faced 39 in Game 2 as Dallas ramped up its shot production in a desperate attempt to even the series. Blackwood has made 23 saves or more in all four of his appearances against Dallas this season, averaging 30 per game in that span.
Dallas had success in Game 2 getting more pucks to the net, and that game plan should carry over to Game 3 on Wednesday.
