The South Carolina Gamecocks maintained their No. 1 ranking in the AP Poll thanks to a win over then-No. 9 NC State, and they'll look to build upon their 2-0 record with a win over the Coppin State Eagles.
Head coach Dawn Staley's Gamecocks have played a tough schedule so far, having beaten Michigan 68-62 and NC State 71-57. Both Michigan and NC State are in a Power Four conference, meaning Coppin State is South Carolina's least prestigious opponent in its first three games on the schedule.
The Eagles are 1-1 with a two-point win over Frostburg State and a 23-point loss to No. 18 Maryland on their record.
