Two MLS Eastern Conference rivals will face off in the Leagues Cup semifinals when the Philadelphia Union visit the Columbus Crew.
The Crew have picked up where they left off last year, as they're in third place in the East after having won MLS Cup last season. That MLS Cup win earned them a bye through the Leagues Cup group stage, so they got about a week to rest and regroup before entering the tournament in the round of 32.
The Union have not fared as well, sitting 10th in the MLS Eastern Conference, but they hit their stride in the Leagues Cup with wins over Charlotte FC, CF Montreal, FC Cincinnati, and, thanks to a penalty shootout, Mazatlan.
Philly has been driven by the goalscoring exploits of Tai Baribo, who has five goals in five games but will miss this matchup after getting sent off against Mazatlan. Diego Rossi has been Columbus' leading scorer with four goals in three games.
Columbus Crew vs. Philadelphia Union in the Leagues Cup semifinals will be streamed exclusively on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, which requires a subscription.
