For the fifth time in their nine-year history, the Vegas Golden Knights are in the Western Conference Finals.
They'll face off against the Colorado Avalanche - the winners of the President's Trophy who have gone 8-1 to start the playoffs.
The Avs dominated the L.A. Kings in a clean sweep, then knocked off the Minnesota Wild in an exciting five game series.
That Wild series included a Game 1 that ended in a 9-6 score and a Game 5 that saw the Avs come back from a 3-0 deficit and win it in overtime.
The Knights, meanwhile, won both of their first two series' in six games against the Utah Mammoth and Anaheim Ducks respectively.
Knights winger Mitch Marner has been on a tear in the playoffs thus far, leading it with 18 points (7 goals, 11 assists).
Along with Pavel Dorofeyev and Brett Howden, Vegas has the top three leading goalscorers through the first two rounds.
Nathan MacKinnon and Martin Necas have led the offensive charge for the Avs, with the former having 13 points (7 goals, 6 assists) and the latter with 11 points (1 goal, 10 assits) in nine games.
Despite the recent playoff success by both teams, they've only met once in the postseason.
It happened in 2021, when the Knights won four games in a row after falling behind 2-0 in the series. MacKinnon shockingly went scoreless in the last five games of the series, as William Karlsson and the Knights defense did a terrific job shutting the superstar down.
MacKinnon will need a big series to help advance the Avs to the Stanley Cup Final for the second time in four years.
Game 1's puck drops at 8:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM CT / 6:00 PM MT / 5:00 PM PT on Wednesday, May 20. Ahead of the start of the series, let's take a look at the odds to win the series and more:
