The championship game matchup is set, and Boston College is favored to win the 2024 men's college hockey championship.
They'll have to get past Denver, who beat them earlier in the season, if they want to make good on those odds.

Boston College (32-5-1 on the season) has the nation's leading goalscorer (Cutter Gauthier) and the team leads the nation in average margin of victory (2.36 goals). The Eagles also have the third top goalscorer in Ryan Leonard and the top two assist providers in Will Smith and Gabe Perreault.
In addition to scoring plenty of goals, goaltender Jacob Fowler and his .924 save percentage - sixth among Division I goaltenders - has lead the team's goal prevention efforts. BC is ranked fourth in goals allowed with 87 on the season and 2.23 per game. By contrast, the team ranks second in goals per game with 4.59.
Simply put, this team has talent and it shows up on both the ice and the stat sheet.
BC crushed Michigan 4-0 in the semifinals, but the Eagles will be wary entering the title matchup as they lost to championship game opponent Denver in October 2023.
The Denver Pioneers have a 30-9-3 record over the 2023/24 campaign, and that includes some huge wins. Their notable victories include an early-season 4-3 win at Boston College, and 8-4 win away to Arizona State, a 3-2 overtime win against then-No. 2 North Dakota, and back-to-back 6-2 and 7-2 wins at then-No. 13 St. Cloud State.
As those scores suggest, they sometimes struggle with goal prevention but the Pioneers have proven their ability to grind out wins against top teams and spread out production.
Denver leads the nation in goals per game with 4.71, and the roster has five players with at least 15 goals this season: Jack Devine, Miko Matikka, Tristan Broz, Carter King, and Rieger Lorenz. The team is 26th in goals against per game with 2.83 on average, which is still better than fellow semifinalist Michigan's 3.02 goals allowed per game.
Coming off upset tournament wins over No. 4 UMass, No. 3 Cornell and No. 2 Boston University - plus holding an early-season victory over their championship opponents - the underdog Pioneers will feel confident.
