As we approach the Saturday slate for Week 8 of the College Football season, there are plenty of games to look forward to.

Below we have highlighted six games to watch out for, all of which include at least one ranked team and which also could have a significant impact on the rest of the season for the teams involved.

No. 7 Penn State Nittany Lions vs. No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes

Easily the biggest game this weekend is a Top-10 Big Ten matchup between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

This could essentially make or break both teams' seasons considering they both still have the #2 Michigan Wolverines on their schedules.

This game looks to be especially tough for Penn State as they have a freshman quarterback and he has yet to be in an environment like Ohio State.

Ohio State is favored by -4.5, while Penn State is +167 ML.

No. 22 Air Force Falcons vs. Navy Midshipmen

Normally, this might not be a matchup to follow, but with Air Force breaking into the Top-25 and with this being a rivalry game between two of the Armed Forces, it could very well be a good matchup.

A win for the Falcons would keep them on pace for the best record as a non-power five team and could potentially earn them a New Year's Six Bowl Game.

The Air Force Falcons are favored by -10.5, while the Navy Midshipmen are +300 ML.

Washington State Cougars vs. No. 9 Oregon Ducks

Having lost last weekend to the Washington Huskies, the Oregon Ducks need a bounce-back game here. They cannot afford another loss if they want to keep their PAC-12 title hopes and College Football Playoff hopes alive.

The Cougars on the other hand, have lost back-to-back games and need to end their losing streak if they are going to be in a respectable bowl game at the end of the season.

Oregon is favored by -20, while Washington State is +750 ML.

No. 17 Tennessee Volunteers vs. No. 11 Alabama Crimson Tide

Probably the second best game of the weekend will feature two Top-20 SEC teams. It’s fair to say that Alabama has not been playing their best this season, but a win over Tennessee would put them in prime position to win the SEC West division.

Meanwhile, this is a game Tennessee must win, otherwise winning the SEC East division and the SEC for that matter is highly unlikely.

Keep in mind that this is a revenge game for the Crimson Tide as they lost to Tennessee on the road last season, which ultimately derailed their season enough to where they missed the College Football Playoff.

Alabama is favored by -8.5, while Tennessee is +270 ML.

No. 16 Duke Blue Devils vs. No. 4 Florida State Seminoles

The best matchup for the ACC this weekend will be between the Duke Blue Devils and the Florida State Seminoles.

Not only is this game a Top-20 matchup, but it also looks to have significant implications in terms of the ACC Championship.

Duke has one loss, but this loss was to Notre Dame, a non-conference opponent.

Winning this game could put them in the driver's seat for a spot in the ACC title game, while a win by Florida State would certainly do the same and also keep their College Football Playoffs hopes alive.

Florida State is favored by -14.5, while Duke is +450 ML.

No. 14 Utah Utes vs. No. 18 USC Trojans

Primetime in the PAC-12 will feature a crucial game between the Utah Utes and the USC Trojans.

USC is coming off their first loss of the season, which could hurt them in terms of their National Championship aspirations.

However, with this loss coming to Notre Dame, they still have a solid chance of reaching the PAC-12 title game.

Utah’s only loss came against Oregon State, so this is a must-win game if they are going to have a chance to win the PAC-12 Championship for the third year in a row.

USC is favored by -7, while Utah is +220 ML.
