Entering the 2025 College Basketball Crown, the Cincinnati Bearcats are the favorites (+425) to win the tournament.
Cincy went 18-15 in 2024/25 with a 7-13 Big 12 record. They're ranked 196th in offensive rating and 52nd in defensive rating, and the guard trio of Day Day Thomas, Jizzle James, and Simas Lukosius has led the team all season.
Tied for second in the betting, just behind Cincinnati, are the Boise State Broncos (+450) and Nebraska Cornhuskers (+450).
Boise State went 24-10 this season and finished fourth in the Mountain West with a 14-6 record. Their one game against a ranked team this year was a two-point loss at then-No. 25 Utah State. The Broncos are sixth out of 364 Division I teams in rebounding percentage (56.0 percent), and they play at the 60th-slowest pace in the nation (65.9 possessions per game).
Nebraska, under head coach Fred Hoiberg, went 17-14 overall and 7-13 in the Big 12 this season. They beat then-No. 14 Creighton on the road in November, won at home against then-No. 15 UCLA in early January, and beat then-No. 18 Illinois and then-No. 16 Oregon in back-to-back games in late January. Senior guard Brice Williams led the team with 20.0 points per game.
The USC Trojans are fourth in the betting (+650), having gone 16-17 overall and 7-13 in the program's first season in the Big Ten. The Trojans ranked 25th in field goal percentage (48.2 percent) but allowed the 57th-highest shooting percentage (46.1).
The Villanova Wildcats, who recently announced the hiring of Kevin Willard from Maryland as the program's next head coach, are fifth in the market (+750). Forward Eric Dixon, who led all Division I men's players with 23.0 points per game, will look to end his collegiate career with a trophy in this tournament.
The next group of contenders, between +1000 and +2200, are the UCF Knights, Utah Utes, Butler Bulldogs, Colorado Buffaloes, and Georgetown Hoyas.
Further back in the College Basketball Crown outright market are the Arizona State Sun Devils (+5000), Oregon State Beavers (+7500), Washington State Cougars (+7500), DePaul Blue Demons (+10000), George Washington Revolutionaries (+10000) and Tulane Green Wave (+15000).
