If Cruz Azul holds its one-goal advantage on Sunday night, it will mark the second major competition they knock Club America out of in 2025, having already eliminated them from the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinals in April.

The winner of this tie will face the winner of Toluca and Tigres in the finals.
