Clemson vs. Texas: How to watch College Football Playoff first round game, TV channel, streaming, start time and stats

The No. 12 Clemson Tigers (10-3) are the lowest-ranked conference champions in the 2024/25 College Football Playoff, and they face a difficult first-round matchup in the form of the No. 5 Texas Longhorns (11-2).

Fans and experts alike thought Clemson's season was over with its season-opening 34-3 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs, but they recovered to reach 10 wins and the ACC Championship, where they took down then-No. 8 SMU 34-31 for their first win over a ranked team this season.

Texas been consistent this season, despite starting QB Quinn Ewers missing two games due to injury and not improving upon his play from last season. The Longhorns beat Michigan, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M, but they lost to Georgia in the regular season and again in the SEC Championship.
