Oklahoma City Thunder big man Chet Holmgren will go up against fellow 7-footer Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
Holmgren and Wembanyama seem like they will be associated with eachother throughout their careers.
Both big men entered the NBA as the same time (Holmgren was drafted a year earlier but missed his rookie season through injury), both are 7-foot-plus, have lanky frames, play in the Western Conference, and are incredible all-around players, especially at the defensive end.
Since the start of last season, Holmgren and Wembanyama each rank top-3 in the NBA in total blocks and steals + blocks per game. A week into the 2024/25 season, Holmgren has particularly excelled averaging 23.7 PPG, 13 RPG, 4 BPG and 1.3 SPG – all massive jumps from his rookie campaign.
Wembanyama hasn’t exactly flown out of the gates in his sophomore season, but the Frenchman is still posting 20 PPG, 12 RPG and 2.7 BPG.
Let’s take a look at Holmgren’s player props for Wednesday night’s matchup with San Antonio.
