Carlos Adames record

24-1 (18 KOs)

Carlos Adames was born in the Dominican Republic in 1994, represented the nation while compiling a 4-2 record at the 2014/15 World Series of Boxing, and turned professional shortly after.

Adames got off to a hot start in his pro career. He beat Jeff Souffrant via unanimous decision in July 2015, and he then won five straight fights via KO/TKO, including three straight first-round finishes within that span.

In 2016, he won the vacant WBA Fedecaribe welterweight title against Kelly Figueroa by forcing a retirement, and he won the WBA Fedelatin welterweight belt in his next fight, against Patrick Lopez.

Adames then won six straight fights before challenging for the vacant WBC-NABF light middleweight title, which he won by defeating Joshua Conley via a second-round KO.

He won the first 18 fights of his career before losing a 2019 WBO interim light middleweight title bout to Patrick Teixeira via unanimous decision in Adames' first-ever 12-round fight.

Adames took just over a year off after that, and he has bounced back from his only defeat with six straight wins since 2021, with four of those coming via stoppage.

He won the WBC interim middleweight belt from Juan Macias Montiel in October 2022, was elevated to full-fledged champion due to external factors, and has since beaten Julian Williams and Terrell Gausha to hold onto the title.

Hamzah Sheeraz record

21-0 (17 KOs)

London, England-born Hamzah Sheeraz turned professional in 2017 after a successful amateur career, and he has yet to lose a bout in his almost eight years as a pro.

Sheeraz won four of his first six fights on points, and no fighter has gone the distance against him since his six-round decision win over Jordan Grannum in Sheeraz's sixth-ever fight in December 2018.

He won three more fights via early-round TKOs before challenging for his first title, the WBO European light-middleweight belt, against Ryan Kelly. Sheeraz won via sixth-round KO and successfully defended the belt four more times before moving up to middleweight.

As a middleweight fighter, Sheeraz has only found more success with TKO victories in all seven of his bouts in the weight class. The most recent was a second-round TKO over Tyler Denny at Wembley Stadium in September 2024 as part of the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois undercard.

Sheeraz has only fought outside of England twice. His first time was in August 2023, when he beat Dmytro Mytrofanov via second-round TKO in Wroclaw, Poland. the other time was in June 2024, when he beat Austin Williams via 11th-round TKO in Riyadh.
