Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga picks & predictions from Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez, Andy Ruiz, Teddy Atlas & more

Hear from some of the biggest names in boxing as Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Edgar Berlanga get set to clash at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday night.

Eddie Hearn (Boxing promoter)

Edgar Berlanga is a good fighter. He's undefeated, punches very hard and will come to fight.

Jaime Munguia against Canelo - which Canelo won via unanimous decision - was a good fight. I think Edgar can go one better than Munguia. It's a big task to beat Canelo Alvarez, but maybe he takes Berlanga lightly or is getting a little old.

Andy Ruiz Jr. (Professional boxer)

It's going to be an amazing fight. Nothing is impossible, just exactly like how I beat Anthony Joshua. You never know what could happen.

Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez (Professional boxer)

It'll be a great fight. I think Canelo will win, but Berlanga will go out there and give him a better fight than people are expecting.

Dave Coldwell (Boxing trainer)

Berlanga was smashing everybody, then he stepped up a level and the knockouts kind of ran out of juice. Good prospect, but in terms of if he can beat Canelo, I'd see that as a huge shock.

I don't give Berlanga much chance against Canelo. It's a great opportunity for Berlanga, but unless Canelo has taken his eye off the ball or gotten really old overnight, the favorite will get the win.

Joe Cordina (Professional boxer)

Canelo will wipe the floor with him. Berlanga's a good fighter, but he's just not on Canelo's level.

Paul Smith Jr. (Former professional boxer)

I think Canelo will be too smart and have too much. Berlanga might be a bit too predictable, and he just doesn't have the experience of fighting at Canelo's level.

Despite Berlanga having a great resume, it should be pretty straightforward for Canelo.

Regis Prograis (Professional boxer)

I think it's an easy fight for Canelo. Berlanga is limited, and you're talking about Canelo.

You have to think of the mindset. Just look who Canelo has fought. He fought GGG [Gennady Golovkin] three times, [Dmitry] Bivol, [Sergey] Kovalev, James Kirkland, Erislandy Lara, Floyd Mayweather, [Miguel] Cotto. Then you're talking about Berlanga? It's a big difference.

Berlanga just hasn't fought at that level yet. Canelo's one of the two biggest names in the sport. Those bright lights are just different. I don't see Berlanga beating Canelo.

Robert Garcia (Former professional boxer)

I know Berlanga's going to go out there and try to land hard punches, but Canelo is too smart. I think Canelo will break him down and should win by knockout.

Teddy Atlas (Boxing trainer)

Berlanga is a talented kid who is getting better and has been in a groove recently. I think he needs more seasoning but I see improvement from him.

I compare it to Canelo's fight against Jaime Munguia. Munguia had more fights than Berlanga at this point, but Munguia didn't have any fights on the stage and at that level to be really ready for Canelo.

I see Berlanga in the same way. He's not quite ready to beat Canelo, but he is talented.
