American swimmer Caeleb Dressel is entering his third Olympics, and the 27-year-old holds multiple national and world records.
Dressel has seven Olympic gold medals to his name, and in the Tokyo edition, he became the fifth American to win five gold medals in a single Olympics.
He won the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 100m butterfly, 4x100m freestyle relay and 4x100m medley relay in Tokyo.
At 2024 US Olympic Trials, Dressel finished first in the 50m freestyle and the 100m butterfly, and he finished third in the 100m freestyle to qualify for the relay team in that event.

Dressel is the oldest swimmer on the USA relay team, and he set the third-fastest time in trials of the four members to make the relay team.
Chris Giuliano led the way in trials with a 47.38s time, followed by Jack Alexy at 47.47s, Dressel at 47.53s and Hunter Armstrong at 47.78s.
