Over her next five fights, Ryan defended this title three times before beating Ewa Brodnicka in October 2020 for the vacant WBO World Super Featherweight title.
Mayer went on to win the IBF World Super Featherweight and WBO World Super Featherweight titles in November 2021, but lost both titles to Alycia Baumgardner by split decision in October 2022.
Mayer bounced back by winning the vacant WBC Interim World Lightweight title in April 2023, but most recently was defeated by Natasha Jones in January 2024, losing out on the chance to win the IBF World Welterweight title.
