American star Vergil Ortiz Jr. will look to carry on his path towards winning a world title when he takes on Thomas Dulorme in California on April 27.
The Texan is continuing to grow his reputation as he extends his winning record and he is trying to stay active as he prepares to fight for the second time this year.
Ortiz Jr., who has beaten every one of his opponents inside the distance, is looking to gain some momentum after a stop-start few years, and he will fancy his chances against Dulorme, who has not boxed since July 2022.
The pair will meet in Fresno, California, on the undercard of the clash between Jose Ramirez and Rances Barthelemy.

American Ortiz Jr. is one of the hottest prospects in boxing and, at 26, he is now reaching his peak as he tries to win his first world title.
As an amateur, he was a seven-time national champion, while he also won gold at the 2013 Junior Olympics. In 2019, he was named The Ring magazine Prospect of the Year, and he has lived up to the hype with an unblemished record so far.
Ortiz Jr. started his professional career in 2016, racking up three wins before the end of the year by knockout. He won his first title in 2018, moving to 9-0 as he claimed the vacant NABF junior super-lightweight belt.
Thanks to his relentless power and sublime pressure skills, Ortiz Jr. continued to charge through the division, and his first big win came against Antonio Orozco as he claimed the vacant WBA Gold welterweight crown.
He defended the title against Brad Solomon and Samuel Vargas before winning the vacant WBO International welterweight crown after stopping Maurice Hooker in March 2021.
He has since defended that belt against Egidijus Kavaliauskas and Michael McKinson.
In his last bout, Ortiz Jr. beat Fredrick Lawson inside the first round in January and he will now look to record another statement win as he tries to land himself a world title shot.

While Dulorme's CV is not as impressive as Ortiz Jr.'s, he does have 26 wins and 17 knockouts to his name.
The Cuban won the first 11 fights of his career by stoppage before he was taken to the scorecards by DeMarcus Corley when winning the vacant WBA-NABA USA welterweight title in June 2011.
His winning record reached 16-0 before he lost by stoppage to Luis Carlos Abregu. Dulorme had tried to win the vacant WBC International welterweight title that night in New York in October 2012, but he returned to winning ways against Eddie Brooks in February 2013.
He won six fights on the spin, which earned him a shot at a world title against WBO light-welterweight champion Terence Crawford.
Crawford, who is widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet, recorded a TKO win in that contest in April 2015.
Wins over Jesus Gurrola and Brian Jones got Dulorme his confidence back, but he was then beaten by Yordenis Ugas at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada in August 2017.
Dulorme managed to secure a draw against Jessie Vargas in October 2018, and after beating Terrel Williams, he hoped to get his career back on track.
However, he then lost three fights in a row against Jamal James, Eimantas Stanionis and Jaron Ennis.
He returned to Cuba and beat Abrahan Peralta inside three rounds, but Dulorme has not been seen since and there are question marks about his stamina after such a long lay-off.
