The greatest rivalry in women's boxing will resume this year when Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano fight for the third time in their illustrious careers.
The two pound-for-pound stars will compete in a thrilling trilogy battle, with Taylor hoping to secure a third win against her rival.
Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will meet on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Official ring walk times are not yet known.
Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York. The two fighters fought at the iconic venue in the first fight in April 2022, before meeting at the AT&T Stadium last year.
Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 will be streamed live on Netflix as the pair headline a historic all-women's boxing card.
Ireland's Taylor will defend all four of her titles in July, putting the IBF, IBO, WBC and WBO light-welterweight belts on the line in New York.
Taylor is one of the leading names in boxing, thanks to her success as an amateur and professional.
She won 18 gold medals before turning professional in November 2016. Taylor won her first world title as a pro in October 2017, beating Anahi Ester Sanchez to win the WBA female lightweight title.
Taylor kept herself active, fighting every few months as she tried to rack up the titles in her early 30s.
The 38-year-old soon cleaned up in the lightweight division and beat Serrano for the first time in April 2022.
Less than a year later, she challenged Chantelle Cameron at light-welterweight for five titles, but lost on points in a close fight.
In typical Taylor fashion, she earned her revenge at the earliest opportunity, beating Cameron on points in November 2023.
After a year out of the ring, Taylor returned in Texas in November and retained her titles in another thrilling fight against Serrano.
The two bring the best out of each other and Taylor continues to fight the best of her generation at the age of 38.
Unlike Taylor, Puerto Rican Serrano only stayed as an amateur for a few years, with her record standing at 9-1.
The 36-year-old has enjoyed more success as a professional. She is the only female to win world titles in more than four weight classes and she has held nine major world titles across seven different weight classes.
Serrano has won Female Boxer of the Year Award on two occasions (2016, 2018) and she has more experience as a professional than Taylor.
The 'Real Deal' made her debut in March 2009 against Jackie Trivilino, winning in New York on points.
After racing to 4-0, she was then held to a draw by Ela Nunez in November 2009, but that was the only blemish on her record until she fought Frida Wallberg in April 2022.
Serrano won 28 consecutive fights after that setback, which earned her a shot at Taylor in New York.
Both bouts between Taylor and Serrano have been considered classic battles, and the third should be another brawl.
In between each defeat to Taylor, Serrano beat Sarah Mahfoud, Erika Cruz, Heather Hardy, Danila Ramos and Stevie Morgan, and she could make a huge statement by finally beating Taylor.
