It is almost a decade since Guevara held the WBC belt at light flyweight but the 35-year-old veteran cannot be taken lightly.
Last time out he defeated Andrew Moloney for the WBC interim super flyweight title, sending his opponent into retirement and bagging this big bout for himself.
The Mexican has defeated world champions like Akira Yaegashi, Ganigan Lopez and Oswaldo Novoa in the past, while his reverses have come against proven talents like John Riel Casimero and Yu Kimura.
He has yet to be stopped in his career and has gone the distance in his last six fights.
He is, in essence, a world class boxer in his own right, but he's 10 years older than his rising star opponent and has to prove he can go the distance with the younger man.
