The unbeaten and exciting Keyshawn Davis is ready to challenge Denys Berinchyk for his WBO world-lightweight title at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York City on February 14, 2025.
Davis has been seriously impressive in a career which has seen him move to 12-0. However, Berinchyk is the more experienced fighter and brings a record of 19-0 to the New York ring.
It’s an intriguing contest, which could confirm Davis as an elite-level star after just 13 career bouts, but The Businessman will have to get past a determined and in-form champion.

Denys Berinchyk was a gifted amateur performer, who won a silver medal in the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships, as well as the silver medal in the 2012 Olympics, but it appeared that the Ukrainian would struggle to reach the pinnacle of the paid ranks.
The Lion turned professional in 2015, but the 36-year-old had contested only 16 professional contests by the time he faced Yvan Mendy for the EBU European lightweight title.
Of course, Berinchyk is unbeaten in 19 professional bouts, but they had been mainly low-key contests until his victory against Mendy opened the door for bigger opportunities.
The Lion defeated Anthony Yigit for the WBO international lightweight strap in 2023 and that success led to a full world title fight shot against Emanuel Navarrete.
The Ukrainian was a big underdog for the clash with Navarrete, but the 36-year-old shocked Vaquero to secure a split-decision success and the 36-year-old will now make the first defence of his WBO world title against a fighter 11 years his junior.

Keyshawn Davis was the most accomplished American amateur fighter of his generation and the 25-year-old won silver medals at the 2019 Pan American Games, 2019 World Championships, and 2020 Summer Olympics.
The Virginia fighter has climbed to number one in the WBO lightweight rankings after only 12 professional bouts and The Businessman has created a seriously strong impression.
Davis has dominated former European champion Francesco Patera, stopped Anthony Yigit and impressed in knockout victories over Gustavo Daniel Lemos and one-time two-division world champion Jose Pedraza.
The 25-year-old dismissed the challenge of Lemos after just two rounds last October and the impressive American has graduated to a world title shot.
It’s hard to know where the ceiling to Davis’ level lies, but the Businessman gets the chance to become a world champion when he takes on Berinchyk in New York.
