Figueroa will be out for revenge in this huge rematch between the two Americans as he looks to make up for his only professional defeat, which came against Fulton in a pulsating fight in November 2021.
Before that majority decision verdict in Fulton's favour, Figueroa had won 22 of his 23 fights, with his only blemish being a draw against Julio Ceja in November 2019.
Since his setback against Fulton, however, the 27-year-old has underlined his qualities with victories over Carlos Castro and Mark Magsayo, when he won the WBC interim featherweight title.
Figueroa has since successfully defended the strap once, when knocking out Jessie Magdaleno in the ninth round of their match-up in May.
22-1-0 (8 KOs)
Fulton rose to prominence with 21 straight professional victories in his career, which included successes over Paulus Ambunda in May 2019 to win the IBO super bantamweight title, and Arnold Khegai in January the following year to secure the WBO Inter-Continental super bantamweight title.
A unanimous-decision win over Angelo Leo in January 2021 set up his first thrilling clash with Figueroa, which was the stand-out fight of his life, when he successfully defended his WBO super bantamweight title and won the WBC super bantamweight crown.
Fulton maintained his fine form with a win over Daniel Roman in summer 2022 before he suffered his only defeat, going down to Japanese star Naoya Inoue, in July 2023.
The 30-year-old has since responded with a September split-decision win over Carlos Castro and now he will again hope to overcome Figueroa for a second time in Vegas early in the new year.
