Boston University vs. UConn Women: How to watch, TV channel, start time and stats
Rusty Gorelick
The UConn Huskies women's basketball team enter the 2024/25 season ranked second in the nation, and they open their season with a home game against the Boston University Terriers.
UConn is still coached by Geno Auriemma, who has coached the program since 1985/86 and has led it to 11 National Championships. The team brings back Wooden Award favorite Paige Bueckers along with Azzi Fudd, Ice Brady and KK Arnold, and they brought in top recruit Sarah Strong and transfer Kaitlyn Chen.
The Terriers have not had a losing season in the Patriot League since 2017/18, but the program rarely takes on ranked opponents. In its one game against a ranked team in 2023/24, it lost to then-No. 8 Colorado by 30.
